Thank you. Tip of the iceberg if the archives are anything to go by! One could probably come up with several themes to represent his work.

He’s been quite the prolific contributor these past few years and have given us a glimpse of HongKong from a resident’s perspective. What makes Fernando’s photographs compelling is that he gives us slices of everyday HK with a twist that straddles between...

I have enjoyed fernando's photos

As they came out; and I appreciate them again in this sort of compilation. Thank you for showing us around HK,

He's always been....

among my favorite contributors here on the photography forum. I've never been to Hong Kong, but would love to, and his images always bring me psychologically closer to that realization through his deft skill and discerning eye for details.... His sense of...

My pleasure, Filip. Fernando’s imagery of it gives one a taste that a tourist who’s been there may not even sense..

Strangely, even if you’ve never been there, you already have a leg up in appreciation versus the average person who’s already been there. Whenever I visit Tokyo, I can’t help but look at it from Casey’s eyes for example. Same with Fernando. Whenever I rev...

Seeing the evolving tastes of a photographer has been very interesting. After some impacting graphic and light plays seeing the last photo has been gratifying, as you said, it does not shout, but like a Chopin, it whispers, and it is so much mature and fu...

Echi, thanks so much for this retrospective.

I’ve followed Fernando’s posts for years. I’ve stopped commenting on them because I ran out of superlatives a long time ago. His ability to go back and forth between color and B&W and make each shot a standout-and yet with typically unremarkable subjects!...

You are most welcome. I think you’re not alone where running out of superlatives is concerned..

I have a hard time catching up with these guys! And yes, I had to sneak in that image to represent Fernando’s beautiful creatures

#6 is THE one I think of immediately when I think of a Fernando favourite for me. This photo literally blew my mind, still does. There are numerous of Fernando’s photos which I would like to hang on my wall.

What a surprise to see this post Echi!

I didn't see it coming and I'm both honoured and humbled by what you wrote. I remember the first photo after getting the M240 and was looking for advice here; ten years went by so quickly! I have always been impressed by the photos from the contributors o...

I find myself in a situation where I have 2 systems when my mantra was to only have one at any given time. I even thought about ditching both and switching to the Q3. But then I’m thinking I might actually be in a sweet spot of having a decent BW camera w...

Great quote by Salgado!
